Musicals, plays, choir, and Speech and Debate are just a few of the activities Ally Cooper has participated in her four years at Canfield High School. To Cooper besides Chipotle, Speech and Debate is the most important thing in her life. Ally has been in Speech and Debate all four years of high school.

“I knew I wanted to be in Speech in the eighth grade, when Nathan Pecchia came to the middle school and performed his drama cut for us. My best friend and I decided to be in duo interpretation” Ally said.  When Cooper got to high school she tried out for the team and made it.

Ally’s second year into high school she decided to try dramatic interpretation.

“After my Sophomore year I knew I wanted to do even more for the team so I ran for executive board. This team has given me so much me, I just wanted to give back,” said Cooper

Allyson’s junior year started with her being in dramatic interpretation and a member of the executive board. One year after Cooper decided to run for president. Today she is one of the co-presidents.

She said, “Being one of the co-presidents is one of my greatest accomplishments to date.”

“Being a part of a team is wonderful, but being on the Speech and Debate team is my favorite part of high school experience” said Cooper.

Cooper encourages everyone who can to try to be on their school’s Speech and Debate teams.

Cooper said, “The only thing that could make speech better is if we could have Chipotle at tournaments, if anyone wants to get me some my order is, white rice, chicken, cheese, and sour cream on a burrito. Thanks.”
