Jake Grdic is a senior at Canfield High School.

He has a family of 4, Jack and Jodi Grdic are his parents and he has a sister.

Jake is a baseball player, who has been playing ever since tee-ball, and is playing to this day, and said, “I hope to finish my senior season off with a bang.”

He is a pitcher and has been playing varsity baseball since a freshman. Jake and his team mates have been preparing all off season long to be the best they possibly can be in the upcoming season. They are hoping to get their revenge on the Salem Quakers after a tough loss to them in the playoffs.

The upcoming season is looking up according to Jake. He said that they are coming ready to play and win against Salem, and how he and his team mates are coming ready to win and try to get to the state championship.

As a kid, Jake had experience in the State Championship. When Jake was 10, he and his Canfield team won state, Jake being the main pitcher of the team. Following that win, they made it back to the state championship when they were 11 but sadly lost. The same thing happened when they were 12, making it to the state championship but once again, losing in that game.

Aside from Jake’s athletic career, he is also a hard working student. Jake is challenging himself this year.

He said, “I’m challenging myself with some college classes this year to try to adapt to college, College algebra, college writing, and physics.”
