Cook-outs are a great way to relax and enjoy some food with their family. While most people let their parents do the cooking, one day Griffin Littler decided to take the role of king of the grill.

Once Littler got access to a Bob’s Burgers cookbook for Christmas, he got right to work cooking special burgers. “I steal all of the joke burgers from Bob’s Burgers and make them my own,” said Littler.

With hopes of becoming a great cook like both his parents and grandparents, Littler aims to create a whole new burger once or twice a month. He explained that it is crucial to toast the bun in order to improve the overall taste of any burger.

“Cooking burgers has gotten people to block me on Snapchat… it’s either you get compliments for it or negative things for it,” Littler added.

Despite the negative reactions that Littler has received in showing off his burgers, he still shows his pride through continuing to cook. Over the summer Littler plans on having a cookout for the cross country team.

“I got to cook at my little brothers birthday party once, which was fun,” says Littler. Littler also explained that the process in order to cook for the birthday party took nearly three hours, with the favorite burger being the “Thank god it’s fried-egg day burger”.

Littler is trying to follow in his grandparents' footsteps by finding time to randomly cook for his family, and his grandparents continue to try and teach him the secrets of becoming a great cook.
