Soccer has been a part of Gianna’s life since before she could remember. Gianna’s dad grew up mainly in Germany where soccer was very big which really got her into her passion of Soccer that she has today.

Junior, Gianna Snyder has played many sports growing up, having many different options before finally finding her true passion. She played Soccer growing up, until about 5th grade to play Basketball, Softball, and Swimming. She regrets quitting Soccer looking back on it now and once high school hit, she thought “Why not try again?”.

She now only plays soccer but her most recent sport she played was Basketball. After straining her MCL during her freshman year Soccer season, and tearing her meniscus her freshman year Basketball season, she decided to quit basketball to stay healthy for Soccer.

Gianna’s dad played soccer in high school, also. He was very good and even got a full ride scholarship from The University of Notre Dame. Coincidentally, Gianna’s dad also hurt his leg and had to stop playing because of it. Gianna’s favorite sports teams are the USA Women’s soccer team, Columbus Crew for men’s Soccer, and she has always liked Duke in Soccer and Basketball.

Throughout all the sports Gianna has played, she’s always been number 22 because she used to be a big fan of MLB player Jason Kipnis who was on the Cleveland Indians at the time.

Gianna also participates in school clubs. She is a member of the Key Club, Student Council, the vice president of YTeens/Young Leaders, and she is on the executive board of the Junior class.

Gianna plans and hopes to keep Soccer in her life and play at the next level in college. She has shown in the past and will continue to show that no matter the setback, she will keep pushing and will not let anything stop her from achieving her goals.
