To Cameron Hoover, life was consumed by family, friends, work and helping her mom. She doesn’t let obstacles come in the way for her school life. Cameron values a lot in life but there is one thing in life she values the most.

Her relationships with people she cares about the most.

To Cameron her relationships with people she cares about is very important to her. Cameron is always helping her mom out between helping with the kittens and taking out the garbage. She plans on having contact with her family and friends by staying close to home after high school.

“I think it’s really important to have good relationships with people,” said Hoover.

Cameron plans to go to Youngstown State University to study nursing.

“I want to stay close to home at YSU to be near my friends and family, and to be there whenever my mom needs me. I want to take on a career that involves helping and taking care of others.”

She is looking forward to graduating high school to see what life has to offer, and get the bigger picture of everything.

Cameron works at Dairy Queen in Canfield. She does everything- from being a shift leader, helping at the front, prep work, cleaning, and making sure everyone is doing what’s expected. After a day at work, Cameron likes to hangout with her friends or go out and have fun.

On top of her busy life, Hoover is a role model for her younger sister, Morgan. A piece of advice Cameron would like to give to her sister would be:  “Don’t worry about other people and what they have to say about you.”

Hoover concluded, “I will always have a voice and stick up for what I believe in.”
