The Cardinal

Jake Donadee
For some people, coaching is just a paying job, but for Jake Donadee it is a passion for football and teaching life lessons to the kids.

Donadee is a new coach to the program but has been a player himself for quite awhile, “I started Junior year, I coach 7th grade with my Dad who has been the coach since I was in 7th grade.”

When asking about why he quit Donadee answered, “I have played for 10 years, after my concussion I decided for my well being to stop playing the sport.”

Having played with Donadee in the past I had to ask him how these kids are different than when we were that age “they are more funny,” Donadee said.

This job position is not voluntary “I am a Canfield Athletic Department employee,” Donadee said.

His plans for the future are going to college, so after this year he is going to hold back on the coaching career. When asked if he had plans to coach later in life his response, “If I coach anywhere, it’s going to be for Alabama.”

Catch Donadee coaching on Thursday nights at 5:30.
