The Cardinal

Canfield sports are very successful in everything they do, and soccer is no exception. Our girls team has seen their fair share of success recently and they’ll look to continue that next season.

Last season, they came up short of their main goal, losing to Jackson 2-0. This season, the Cards will look to bounce back and add to their list of accomplishments.

Senior leader and 3 time letter winner Chloe Kalina will help lead a very strong class of seniors next season.

“Last year, Jackson had the experience advantage on us. This year it’ll be different,” said Kalina.

Kalina, as well as the rest of the team will accept nothing but the best this season.

“The whole team holds our self to a much higher standard than the opposing teams because we know we have a chance to be great,” said Kalina.

Next season the Cards will have a large group of returning seniors with a lot of accolades already and a lot more to be accomplished.

Kalina said, “We have a tough road ahead against some bigger schools and a lot of great competition, but the whole team is ready to put on a fight.”

Kalina encourages everyone to come out and support the team next season.

“We’ve got a lot to prove and we’re ready for the challenges to come,” she concluded.
