The Cardinal

When it comes to junior Brandon Stratton he is just happy to be here at Canfield High School. He loves the amount of things that you can do here and wished that when he was a freshman he could do more of them. With the vast variety of different things to be involved in here at Canfield High School, Brandon has chose Speech and Debate, Robotics club, and is involved with the Marching Band.

Brandon started his speech and debate career only 1 year ago, he says, “ I did cross country but, I wasn’t the best at it so when speech popped up I said Why Not?” So, he started out in congress, and did pretty well in it. When asked about his first year in speech, “ I was nervous like the rest of us, but also a sense of excitement was there also.”

Well for me as a freshman here I had a lot of excitement yet nervousness to do different things. When I asked Brandon about this he told me, “ Just do different things, because when you get older like me, you look back and think maybe I should’ve tried that.”

Along with Speech and Debate, Brandon is in the robotics club. He enjoys the robotics club because, “ It is a great opportunity to learn many different skills about technology, engineering and many other ideas of robotics.”

Finally, Brandon along with his many involvements at Canfield High School he is in the Marching Band. He says, “ I likes to be around my friends every Friday and just enjoy every second of it.” He is excited for his senior but will miss many of his things that he did here. But take the things that he learned and use them in the future.
