The Game-Changing Offseason:

NBA basketball is back and underway for the 2019-2020 season. This past offseason has been one of the most memorable ones in recent history with multiple teams acquiring big name superstars. Some of the most notable moves include: Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers to team up with Lebron James,  Kawhi Leonard leaving this past years champions in the Toronto Raptors to team up with Paul George with the Los Angeles Clippers, Kevin Durant leaving Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors to pair up with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn, Russell Westbrook being traded to the Houston Rockets to form the most dynamic backcourt in the NBA with the former MVP James Harden, and many more to shake up the entire league.

The Playoff Bracket:

So for my playoff bracket as of October 31st, 2019, in the Western Conference I predict the seeding will go: #1 Los Angeles Lakers, #2 The Los Angeles Clippers, #3 The Houston Rockets, #4 The Denver Nuggets, #5 The Utah Jazz, #6 The Portland Trail Blazers, #7 The San Antonio Spurs, and finally #8 The Minnesota Timberwolves. This means that in round one in the Western Conference, the Lakers will face the Timberwolves, the Clippers will face the Spurs, the Rockets will face the Trail Blazers, and the Nuggets will face the Jazz. In the Eastern Conference I predict the seeding will go: #1 The Philadelphia 76ers, #2 The Boston Celtics, #3 The Milwaukee Bucks, #4 The Toronto Raptors, #5 The Indiana Pacers, #6 The Miami Heat, #7 The Detroit Pistons, and finally #8 The Brooklyn Nets. This means that in round one in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers will face the Nets, the Celtics will face the Pistons, the Bucks will face the Heat, and the defending champion Raptors will face the Pacers.

Who Advances to the NBA Finals:

In the first round in the West I think the Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, and Jazz will win their series and advance to the Western Conference Semifinals. That means the Lakers and Jazz will go head-to-head, as well as the Clippers and Rockets. After the second round, I believe the Lakers and Clippers will win their series and face off in the battle of L.A. in the Western Conference Finals. I think it will be a close series but I think Lebron James and Anthony Davis of the Lakers will be too much for Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers, which means the Lakers are back in the NBA finals for the first time since 2010. Meanwhile on the East I think the 76ers, Celtics, Bucks and Raptors will win their series and advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. That means the 76ers and Raptors will go head-to-head, as well as the Celtics and Bucks. After the second round, I believe the 76ers and Celtics will win their series and face off in the Eastern Conference Finals. I also think this will be a close series but I think Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid will be too much for Giannis Antetokounmpo, which means the 76ers are in the NBA finals for the first time since 2001. This sets the matchup for the Los Angeles Lakers and The Philadelphia 76ers in the 2019-2020 NBA finals.

NBA Finals Prediction:

Game 1: Lakers beat 76ers

Game 2: 76ers beat Lakers

Game 3: 76ers beat Lakers

Game 4: Lakers beat 76ers

Game 5: Lakers beat 76ers

Game 6: Lakers beat 76ers

The Lakers win in six games and bring home their 17th championship in franchise history tying the Boston Celtics with the most of any franchise in the NBA.
