It is said that each of these signs is to represent a different group of people, which sign depending on where the stars were aligned at the date of your birth.

Now that the zodiac signs and horoscopes have been explained, when it comes to Canfield High School, from a poll of 50 random students we have discovered that Leos are the most common sign.

Although the Cardinal is our mascot, lions play a big role, too.

What does it mean to be a Leo?

Well, the answer is that Leo’s can be defined as the following; Courageous, kind, loyal, protective, honest, and entertaining. They can also be described as natural born leaders.

Now, these traits are very positive and encouraging, and we think that it is good that these people make up a majority of our school.

While some people may read what is above and agree or be entertained, there are some who are skeptics.

Take for example English teacher, Mr. Courtney, when asked about his feelings towards astrology he had a few opinions on the matter.

Courtney said, “Every once in a while you see something and it’s interesting, but I don’t buy into it.”

Courtney’s opinion shows that although some people find the whole horoscope subject entertaining, they do not necessarily follow the idea.

On the contrary, junior Chloe Deak said, “The universe is a thing, and everyone is apart of it, so why wouldn’t the stars have an impact on your personality? Also Greece and Rome used it.”

Deak’s opinion, while different than Courtney’s, both have the same amount of importance, given that whether you agree or disagree, you can still have an entertaining time.

Horoscope and astrology can be debated just as much as any other belief but, at the same time is still as valid as all other beliefs.

So, next time you’re wondering why you act the way you do, checking your horoscope on an app like Co-Star might make you seriously rethink your opinion – or maybe you’ll just laugh at how wrong it is.
